Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day.
• In 2024, WWE has increased the number of Premium Live Events held outside the United States compared to previous years. Major events like WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam have remained in USA. However, WWE has hosted shows in Australia, France, Saudi Arabia, and Scotland this year.
To finish the year, they plan events in Germany and Saudi Arabia while also hosting Bad Blood and Survivor Series in the United States.
These international events have increased travel demands for talent. Consequently, WWE is considering a new approach for Monday Night RAW episodes following international pay-per-views.
According to PWNexus, WWE has discussed the possibility of taping RAW on Sunday night after an international PLE on Saturday. This idea is still in the discussion phase and has not been finalized.
“This new format would give talent more time to recoup and recover, rather than flying & rushing straight back into TV.”

• The Lucha Brothers might be departing from AEW.
According to Bryan Alvarez, there is an internal belief within AEW that both Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix will be leaving the company for WWE when their contracts expire. This follows an earlier report from WrestlePurists suggesting their exit, which led to changes in a Trios Championship match set for All In involving the duo.
LuchaLibreOnline had reported in June that Penta’s contract was due to expire between August and September of this year, with WWE showing interest in signing him. Fightful added last week that Fenix’s contract is also up this year.
The Lucha Brothers have been with AEW since its first show in 2019, where they faced The Young Bucks at Double or Nothing. They have since held the AEW Tag Team titles once and the AEW World Trios titles with PAC as Death Triangle. Additionally, Fenix is a former International Champion.
Death Triangle recently appeared in CMLL, where they lost to Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and Volador Jr.
