WWE is reportedly rethinking its WrestleMania 42 plans for Brock Lesnar following a massive surge in fan interest for a showdown with rising star Oba Femi.

While internal creative originally slated Lesnar for a singles match against LA Knight — a rivalry sparked by Knight helping eliminate The Beast from the Royal Rumble — the company is now “well aware” that the audience has a different appetite, according to the Wrestling Observer.

The shift in momentum became undeniable during the February 23 episode of RAW in Atlanta. When Paul Heyman issued an open challenge for WrestleMania on Lesnar’s behalf, the live crowd responded with loud, sustained chants for Femi.

The Observer noted that Heyman and Lesnar’s decision to stay silent during the chants was a tactical move, likely intended to protect a potential storyline pivot without committing to it too early.

Brock and Oba collided during the Men’s Royal Rumble, where The Beast ended up eliminating The Ruler.

In a scene more chaotic than his usual in-ring stunts, AEW’s Darby Allin was abandoned on the side of a highway after being booted from an Uber during a live broadcast.

The incident unfolded while Allin was calling into Tucson’s KFMA 102.1 to promote a March 7 Collision taping. The ride took a hostile turn when the driver, claiming he had been working since 5 AM, took issue with Allin being on speakerphone. Despite being told the call was for a live national radio segment, the driver dismissed the explanation as a “therapy session” and grew increasingly aggressive.

The confrontation peaked when the driver pulled over, shouted at Allin, and physically struck his own steering wheel in a rage. After ordering the former TNT Champion out of the car and speeding away, the driver left Allin stranded on the side of the road.

Remarkably, Allin remained calm throughout the ordeal, laughing off the absurdity with the radio hosts and finishing the interview while walking along the highway to find a new ride.
