WWE Isn’t Changing Plans For CM Punk Despite Recent Incident

Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving CM Punk and Jeff Hardy.

• In the main event of this week’s RAW, Seth Rollins defeated Jinder Mahal (who was accompanied by Veer & Sanga of Indus Sher) to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins got hurt in this match. WWE is waiting for the MRI results to determine how serious Rollins’ injury is. In the meantime, he has been pulled from this weekend’s Live Events.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE isn’t changing their plans despite Seth getting hurt, as CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship got internally locked for WrestleMania 40 this week.

Punk is the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match to earn a World Title match.

• Jeff Hardy vs. Darby Allin will air on tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage. This match was taped after Wednesday’s Dynamite went off the air.

All Elite Wrestling announced this match during the Dynamite broadcast and Jeff thinks AEW should’ve announced this last week, so that more fans could’ve come to the show to be in attendance.
