Lilian Garcia shared her emotional journey of overcoming severe health struggles before returning as the announcer for Monday Night RAW.
In an Instagram video, she revealed that mold exposure in three homes and a gas leak caused severe lung inflammation, which damaged her vocal cords and nearly cost her voice.
At 58, Garcia expressed gratitude for her recovery, crediting doctors, functional medicine, and prayer for her healing. She encouraged others to keep pursuing their dreams despite obstacles.
Now back in WWE and leading worship, Garcia cherishes these moments after almost losing her ability to speak and perform.
Here’s what the legendary WWE ring announcer said:
“One of the things that I wanted to share was the struggle that I had with my voice for such a long, long time. If some of you don’t know, I had an attack from a house, from three different homes with mold. And it caused severe inflammation in my lungs. That inflammation, it was so severe that it caused havoc on my vocal cords and projection.
So now, being able to get through all of that and being cured from that, and the amount of doctors that I went through and functional medicine, and lots and lots of prayer, to now being able to be back in the WWE, and now leading worship tomorrow. This is why this means so much to me, because it was almost stripped away.”
