Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving WrestleMania and PLEs.
• During an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, WWE Legend John Cena was asked if he’ll appear at WrestleMania 40.
Here’s what the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion said:
“I’m kind of waiting for my invite. Unfortunately, it’s like, I don’t have a prom date, so I have no one to go to prom with. I haven’t been asked to go yet.
That’s okay. That’s alright. I have not yet found a golden ticket in my chocolate bar, so I guess I have to keep eating chocolate bars to find a golden ticket.”
Cena was last seen on WWE programming at Crown Jewel 2023, where he lost to Solo Sikoa.

• WWE is considering a potential shift in the start time for its upcoming premium live events (fka pay-per-views / PPVs).
Traditionally, WWE PLE main cards have begun at 8 PM ET, but recent developments suggest a potential return to an earlier start time.
WrestleMania 40’s Kickoff pre-show has already been confirmed to start at 5 PM ET, with the main card following at 7 PM ET.
Similarly, Money In The Bank’s main card is expected to adopt this earlier start time later in the year.
According to PWInsider, WWE is exploring the possibility of moving its domestic PLEs to the earlier start time, although this adjustment is still in the experimental phase and a final decision has yet to be made.
