Randy Orton was written off WWE TV on the November 8th episode of SmackDown, after Kevin Owens hit him with a Piledriver.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone, Orton won’t be a part of RAW’s Netflix debut episode on January 6, 2025:

“I’ve had a bunch of people inquire about the status of Randy Orton regarding January 6. I’ve been informed that he is currently not scheduled to be a part of the debut episode of RAW on Netflix.”

No word yet on when Orton will return from his storyline injury, which WWE reported as “cervical cord neurapraxia”.

RAW’s move to Netflix on January 6, 2025 is being positioned as a landmark event.

WWE Director of Character Development Rob Fee described the premiere as “WrestleMania-adjacent” during an appearance on Dead Meat Presents and encouraged fans to attend, emphasizing its significance as a must-see show.

Here’s what Fee said:

“You guys should definitely try to go to that show. It’s gonna be WrestleMania-adjacent. You have to go. If there’s one show to go to, it’s this one.”

WWE has announced the following matches for RAW’s Netflix debut so far:

– Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match with the Ula Fala on the line

– CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins

– Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship

Also, The Rock, John Cena, Becky Lynch & Logan Paul are expected to appear. Former AEW wrestler Penta El Zero Miedo is rumored to make his WWE debut on this episode as well.
