WWE’s upcoming reality competition, WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), has already generated major buzz. While fans initially believed that only the contestants would have a chance to earn NXT contracts, Mickie James has now revealed an unexpected twist: the winning coach will also receive a brand-new championship.

Speaking with Going Ringside, Mickie discussed what fans can expect from WWE LFG and shared her excitement about the format. The competition will feature 16 hopeful Superstars, but only two will secure contracts to join NXT. However, the stakes aren’t just high for the contestants—the coaches are also competing to prove they can train the best talent.

James highlighted the unique aspect of the show, emphasizing that the coach who does the best job with their team will be rewarded with a championship. She also made it clear that she has her sights set on the prize, expressing her eagerness to claim what would be her seventh championship title.

“It’s not just a competition between these 16 future greats, where, you know, only two of them will get a contract to then go on to NXT television. The rest of them—I don’t know—who knows when you’ll see them again?

But it’s a competition between them, and it’s also a competition between the coaches, because we’re competing too. There can only be one coach that, kind of, wins—who’s done the best with their team throughout the show.

And one of us will get a brand-new championship, which, I’ve already put it out there—I’ve been hoping for a 7th championship for a very, very long time. So I kind of feel like it’s coming my way. I already have a shiny place to put it, so I’m very stoked about that.”

With an all-star lineup of coaches, including The Undertaker, Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley and Mickie James, WWE LFG is shaping up to be one of the most competitive reality shows in wrestling history.
