• WWE Made A Last-Minute Change To Friday’s SmackDown
On last night’s SmackDown, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi faced Rhea Ripley in a singles match and lost.
According to Fightful Select, the original plan was for Naomi’s tag team partner, Sasha Banks, to face Ripley.
However, WWE changed the plan just before SmackDown went on the air.
WWE most likely wanted to protect Banks from suffering another loss, as she lost a singles match to Rhea’s tag team partner, Liv Morgan, last week.
On the other hand, Naomi defeated Liv on this week’s RAW.
Sasha & Naomi will defend their Tag Team Titles against Ripley & Morgan on Monday’s RAW.
