• “WWE made me take classes to get rid of my Canadian accent” – Former WWE Commentator
While speaking on her Oral Sessions podcast, former WWE commentator and interviewer Renee Paquette (fka Renee Young) revealed that she doesn’t have a Canadian accent, but she worked hard to develop it because she’s from Canada.
However, WWE didn’t want her to speak in that accent on their programming, which is why the company wanted her to get rid of it.
Paquette said:
“So I would just like to go on the record and say that I do not have a Canadian accent. I worked very hard to develop this non-regional dialect.
When I first signed to WWE, they made me take classes to get rid of my Canadian accent, which I’m honestly, I’m sure it was more than it is now but it was like very faint, if any and I had to go into Manhattan once a week and sit with this woman and she would give me words.
I’d have to read during the week to make sure I didn’t like mispronounce vowels or some sh*t.”

• Old School WWF Tag Team Legend Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WWF Tag Team Legend Bushwhacker Luke Williams (Real name: Brian Wickens) celebrates his 74th birthday today.
After him and his long-time Tag Team Partner, Butch Miller, were known as an evil Heel team called “The Sheepherders” in the NWA, both joined the World Wrestling Federation in late 1988 as the fan-friendly comedy Tag Team “The Bushwhackers”.
The team wrestled on WWF TV till 1996, but later returned to participate in the WrestleMania X-Seven Gimmick Battle Royal in 2001.
In 2015, they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by the former flagbearer for The Sheepherders, Johnny Ace (John Laurinaitis).
