Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, featuring Survivor Series 2024 and WrestleDream.

• WWE has made a small adjustment to the upcoming Survivor Series 2024 premium live event, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In recent years, WWE has used the WarGames format to add excitement to the event, which previously focused on RAW vs. SmackDown matchups. Fans can likely expect to see the much-anticipated Original Bloodline vs. New Bloodline match at this year’s show.

Originally, promotional material listed the event’s start time as 3:30 PM local time, but WWE’s event page and the arena’s website now show it starting at 2:30 PM local time, which means 5:30 PM EST.

• Bryan Danielson lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley in the main event of the WrestleDream pay-per-view at the Tacoma Dome. After the match, Danielson was attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club to write him off TV, as he is expected to undergo neck surgery.

Originally, AEW had different plans for the WrestleDream main event. While not confirmed, it was widely believed that Darby Allin was supposed to defeat Danielson for the World Title. However, plans changed when Jon Moxley defeated Allin for his guaranteed title shot on the September 25th episode of Dynamite, setting up the match against Danielson.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Moxley’s turn on Danielson after his title defense at All Out changed AEW’s direction. The goal was to build heat around Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club to reignite interest in the promotion.

Fightful also reported that Danielson specifically requested to lose to Moxley as a way to conclude his full-time wrestling career.
