WWE is set to host a big episode of NXT at the former ECW Arena next week on November 6th, scheduling it on a Wednesday to avoid clashing with the U.S. Presidential Election.
According to Fightful Select, WWE has contacted additional ECW personalities for the event. There’s also been talk of a tag team match featuring Lita, who previously appeared in ECW as Miss Congeniality. The proposed match is an eight- or ten-woman tag team bout.
While Lita was spotted at the 2300 Arena last week, reports indicate her appearance was for unrelated reasons. The tag match idea was reportedly discussed over the past week.
However, on this week’s NXT, WWE announced the following 10-woman tag team match for next week:
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade and Fatal Influence vs. Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace & Kelani Jordan
Unless one of the babyfaces in the above match gets taken out by the heels and then Lita comes out as a replacement, it looks like the return plans for Lita have been canceled.
Lita’s last match was at WrestleMania 39, where she teamed with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to defeat Damage CTRL. Lita and Lynch were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions before she was written off TV as Stratus and Lynch began a feud.
