• WWE Names New Permanent NXT General Manager After Ava’s Departure

WWE has officially named a new permanent General Manager for NXT following Ava’s departure over a month ago. Robert Stone had been overseeing the brand as the interim GM during that time, but he has now been given the role on a full-time basis.

Before last night’s NXT live event in Wichita, Kansas, Stone shared a video on X where he announced the news himself. Here’s what he said:

“All right, we’re here about to kick things off at NXT Live in Wichita, Kansas. But I just wanted to say thank you so much to William Regal. Thank you so much to Shawn Michaels. And thank you to the WWE Universe, ’cause everyone heard you. It is official, no more interim — you’re looking at, right here, Robert Stone, the General Manager of NXT. And that is now set in stone.”

• Good News For Bianca Belair Fans

Bianca Belair has been out of action since suffering a broken finger during a Triple Threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41 in April 2025.

What was initially believed to be a short-term injury has kept The EST of WWE sidelined for nearly a year. She also underwent surgery last month, further delaying her return.

According to Bodyslam+, Belair has recently started light training as she works towards an in-ring comeback.

While there is no confirmed timeline yet, it is likely that she will miss WrestleMania 42 next month.

• WWE Made Last-Minute Change To Title Match On Latest SmackDown

The Bella Twins teamed up for the first time in 8 years on last week’s episode of SmackDown, challenging WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Irresistible Forces. The match ended in a disqualification after Charlotte Flair attacked Nia Jax and a brawl broke out.

While discussing the match on the latest edition of The Nikki & Brie Show, the duo revealed that their time was cut, which impacted several planned moments. Here’s what they said:

Brie: “It was very exciting. It felt so good to be back in the ring. And it was crazy because I was so nervous. It’s been eight years since we’ve tagged together. Even the training you’ll do, it doesn’t compare to being in front of a live crowd, feeling the adrenaline rush, all those emotions.”

Nikki: “Time getting cut.”

Brie: “Oh, yeah. We had time get cut, which is, can I tell everyone why we didn’t do our backflip in?”

Nikki: “We just had so much time cut that we… I know people thought Brie may have forgot, but that’s why they didn’t even do the announcements, the title announcements. I know you were like, ‘But I think we do have time for the backflip’… Long story short, you’re just in those moments where minutes are getting cut and you’re like, ‘How do we just get this started?’”
