1. Is Roman Reigns’ Title Reign Going To Break CM Punk’s Modern Era Record of 434 Days As Champion?
Whether the fans like it or not, Roman Reigns is the next face of the WWE. Roman is currently in his 3rd reign as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Before this Title reign (which began at the biggest WrestleMania of all time, WrestleMania 32), Reigns was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for only 42 days.
WWE wants Roman to cement his place in the WWE with this Title reign and book this as a dominant reign of “THE Guy”.
Word is that WWE wants Roman to break CM Punk’s record of being the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era (434 days as Champion – Title reign started at Survivor Series 2011 & ended at Royal Rumble 2013).
This sounds quite possible as WWE is hell bent on making Roman Reigns the #1 guy in the company and given the fact that Nikki Bella also became the longest reigning Divas Champion in history last year, by breaking AJ Lee’s record (who is CM Punk’s wife and left the WWE because of him).
