Former NXT Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle’s arrival on SmackDown was announced last night by WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle.

Riddle didn’t show up, but a vignette featuring him was aired on the show.

WrestleVotes is reporting that backstage officials see a lot of potential in “The Original Bro”, and they have high hopes for him.

“Those in power have very ‘high’ hopes for Matt Riddle on SmackDown.”

Last November, it was also reported that Vince McMahon likes Riddle and considers him similar to what Shawn Michaels was back in the day.
