Drew McIntyre has been one of the most over wrestlers in WWE in 2020. His WWE Championship win at WrestleMania 36 just added a lot of star-power to his character.

McIntyre has been one of the wrestlers who’s leading WWE in this period of shows with no fans.

Wrestletalk is reporting that he has highly impressed the higher-ups, and he’ll remain on top for years to come:

“WWE management has been so impressed with Drew in recent weeks, that they see him as a main eventer for years to come.

We’ve been told that his title reign will almost definitely not be a one-off like we’ve seen with Finn Balor, Jinder Mahal and Kofi Kingston in recent years, so expect to see him at the top of the card for the foreseeable future.”

McIntyre is the #1 drawing wrestler on RAW right now. His match on this week’s RAW beat Edge and Randy Orton’s segment by over 400K viewers on YouTube.
