At WWE WrestleMania 39 Sunday, Drew McIntyre was pinned by Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship match, which also involved Sheamus.
After the match, McIntyre waved goodbye to the fans on Twitter:

McIntyre has been off WWE programming since then, because he reportedly got injured during this match.
As previously reported, 2023 is the final year of Drew’s current WWE contract and both sides haven’t agreed to a new deal yet.
Money In The Bank 2023 will take place at The O2 Arena in London, England on July 1st.
According to PWInsider, WWE Officials want McIntyre back for this premium live event, since he is one of the top wrestlers from Europe.
A meeting was held last week in WWE, to discuss return plans for McIntyre.
Word going on is that McIntyre wouldn’t agree to return to TV unless there’s a solid storyline laid out for him, as he doesn’t want to be on TV just for the sake of it.
WWE Officials value what McIntyre brings to the table and everybody appreciates how he carried the RAW brand as the WWE Champion during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
