WWE Planning A Major Feud On RAW

RAW IS WAR

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (April 18, 2018) – OLD SCHOOL WRESTLING VETERAN PASSED AWAY

On this day in 2018, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran “Number One” Paul Jones (Real name: Paul Frederik) at the age of 75.

Jones wrestled for several NWA territories during the 60s, 70s & early 80s, but most of you Old Schoolers out there will probably remember him as the manager of his very own stable “Paul Jones’ Army”.

Among the members of “Paul Jones’ Army” were big names like Ivan Koloff, Abdullah The Butcher, Superstar Billy Graham, Rick Rude, The Warlord, Baron Von Raschke, The Barbarian, …

For most of the 80s, Paul Jones & his army feuded with popular babyface ‘The Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant.

The feud ended when Turner bought ‘Jim Crockett Promotions’ and both Jones & Valiant left the promotion.

† REST IN PEACE PAUL JONES!

• WWE Planning A Major Feud On RAW

As we noted before, United States Champion Samoa Joe was expected to shift to RAW as a part of the WWE Superstar Shake-Up and Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor would’ve then shifted to SmackDown in return.

However, Joe was nowhere to be seen on RAW. This is because Joe was very sick on Monday and was pulled from RAW.

According to Fightful, Joe was sick “to the point of barely functioning” and WWE officials decided to not use him on RAW.

As seen on this week’s SmackDown, Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor moved to the blue brand, so this pretty much confirms that United States Champion Samoa Joe will eventually move to RAW when he gets well.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Samoa Joe is set to feud with “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman over the United States Championship once Joe goes to RAW.

Joe & Strowman had a physical encounter on last week’s SmackDown, where Joe escaped getting Powerslammed by Braun. You can watch it below:
