• WWE Planning To Sell Out A 100,000+ Seater Arena This Year
According to The Sportster, WWE is planning to do an event at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds in Australia later this year. This stadium has a capacity of 100,000+ and WWE is planning to sell it out.
No word yet on if it would be a PPV or a special Live Event. We’ll keep you updated regarding this.
• Average Salary Of WWE Mid-Carders Has Dropped By About 50% Over The Past 8 Years
During a recent appearance on The Locker Room podcast, indy wrestler Bin “The Hacker” Hammin noted that the salary of WWE mid-carders have dropped by about 50% over the past 8 years.
Below is what he said:
“I heard that…this is 2010-ish. Guys were making maybe 6 grand a week with TV and house shows. Mid-card guys that I know, ex-OVW talent. Now I heard that number is down to maybe 3 grand, $3,200 a week.
So just look in that range, maybe 2010, 2010, 50% pay reduction plus house shows are down so any bonuses along that way.”
• Old School Wrestling Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the 97th birthday of Old School WWF/NWA Legend “The Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers (Real name: Herman Gustav Rohde Jr.).
Rogers became the first ever WWWF World Heavyweight Champion in 1963, after he had already won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1961.

Old School Puroresu Legend Antonio Inoki (Real name: Kanji Inoki) celebrates his 75th birthday today.
The NJPW founder & former NJPW promoter was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010 by fellow legend Stan Hansen.
