Bray Wyatt made his shocking return to WWE at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event exactly one year ago today. He was released by the company in the summer of 2021 after he had been off television for months after his loss to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.

Unfortunately, Wyatt’s last WWE run did not go on for long as he caught COVID-19 a couple of months after his return, and passed away after suffering a heart attack on August 24th.

After his match with LA Knight at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Wyatt was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, but that didn’t happen due to his illness.

Back in July, Fightful Select reported that WWE planned to create a new faction for Bray Wyatt before he fell ill. It was going to be something like The Wyatt Family, which would include Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy, Eric Young and Alexa Bliss.

The plan was supposed to be put in effect after WrestleMania, but Wyatt fell ill, Young asked for his release from WWE and Bliss got pregnant.

Insider source BWE provided an update on the plan today and revealed that WWE is planning to continue the storyline Wyatt was supposed to be involved in before his demise.

The ideas about the Firefly Fun House and Wyatt 6 faction are still on the table. All parties have agreed to move on with it and want to honor Wyatt.
