On this day in 2018, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran “Mr. Saito” Masa Saito (Real name: Saito Masanori) at the age of 76 due to complications of Parkinson’s disease.
Saito won the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team titles on two occasions with his Tag Team partner, the late great Mr. Fuji.
He had successful runs in a lot of different promotions over the years, but his biggest claim to fame is probably the infamous McDonalds incident, where he and Ken Patera got arrested in 1984.

• WWE Planning To Revive WrestleMania 36 Rivalry After The Horror Show At Extreme Rules
Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio will battle in an ‘Eye For An Eye’ match at The Horror Show At Extreme Rules this Sunday.
As we noted earlier, Rey Mysterio is currently working on a verbal deal with WWE because his contract expired earlier this month.
WWE is planning to have Kevin Owens feud with Seth Rollins after Extreme Rules, in case Mysterio doesn’t sign a new contract. Even if Mysterio signs a new contract, WWE may have Owens and Rollins feud again.
The Wrestling Observer noted that Owens is in an important position on RAW right now, as he’s the backup plan in the Rollins/Mysterio rivalry, if Mysterio decides to leave WWE.
In addition, Vince McMahon wants to push Owens because he’s seen as a top star on the red brand. His importance was seen in the company after McMahon enforced the mask policy on his suggestion.
WWE even planted seeds for the continuation of the rivalry between Owens and Rollins by having Owens go over Rollins on this week’s RAW.
Owens beat Rollins at WrestleMania 36 earlier this year.
