On this day in 1993, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.

This episode was pre-taped at the Westchester County Civic Center in White Plains, New York and featured matches, promos & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Survivor Series 1993’ PPV.

• WWE Released Huge Number Of Employees On Thursday (Details)

The latest round of WWE budget cuts focused on backstage employees. WWE released over 60 backstage employees including producers, trainers and writers on Thursday.

PWInsider noted the following about it:

“While there were no talents released as part of yesterday’s WWE cutbacks, there were quite a few employees let go from their positions.

One source believed there were over 60 staffers let go yesterday, many of whom were already furloughed or working in departments that aren’t very active currently due to COVID-19, such as live events.”

Notable names released so far are Mike Rotunda, Gerald Brisco and Sarah Stock.
