WWE Reveals Plan For NXT TakeOver: Tampa Matches

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Veteran “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels (Real name: Daniel Christopher Covell) celebrates his 50th birthday today.

Christopher Daniels was under developmental contract with the World Wrestling Federation from 1998 until 2000, where he was mostly used as a Jobber on shows like Sunday Night Heat & Shotgun Saturday Night.

He then wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 2000 & early 2001, followed by more televised WWF Jobs in 2001, mostly on Jakked/Metal.

Daniels eventually made a name for himself in Total Nonstop Action, where he wrestled from 2002 till 2014.

He also competed on pretty much all the bigger indy companies, which earned him the unofficial nickname “The King of Indies”.

• WWE Reveals Plan For NXT TakeOver: Tampa Matches

NXT TakeOver: Tampa was originally scheduled to take place next weekend, one night before WrestleMania 36, but that event has now been cancelled.

The matches planned for TakeOver will now take place on the upcoming weekly episodes of NXT TV on the USA Network.

WWE made the following announcement regarding this:

Triple H to appear on tomorrow night’s NXT on USA Network

“Triple H will appear on tomorrow night’s edition of NXT on USA Network, as first reported by Sports Illustrated.

Sports Illustrated also reported that several of the matches originally scheduled for NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay will instead take place over the next few weeks on NXT, starting with the April 1 edition of the weekly USA Network spectacular.
