• WWE has crowned Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes from WrestleMania 40 as the Match of the Year through a voting tournament on social media.
The final round featured Roman vs. Cody going up against CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Hell in a Cell match). Reigns vs. Rhodes got 71% votes, while Punk vs. McIntyre got 29%.
In the main event of WrestleMania XL, Rhodes defeated Reigns to finish the story by winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This match featured appearances by John Cena, The Rock and The Undertaker.
At Bad Blood, Punk ended his feud with McIntyre by defeating The Scottish Warrior in a brutal Hell in a Cell match.

• WWE and Pro Wrestling NOAH’s partnership continues to thrive, with WWE stars set to feature in NOAH’s New Year’s Show at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, on January 1, 2025.
The event will include Shinsuke Nakamura facing Ulka Sasaki and a GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match where Takashi Sugiura and Naomichi Marufuji defend against Jack Morris and a mystery partner, “Wrestler X”.
However, Pro Wrestling NOAH may have inadvertently revealed “Wrestler X” as WWE Superstar Omos by briefly displaying his profile on their website before quickly removing it.
While Omos has been absent from WWE television since April, this appearance could offer him a career boost.
