Below are some WWE & AEW news stories:

– According to the new internal WWE roster list after the Payback premium live event, LA Knight is listed as the #1 babyface on SmackDown.

Here’s what WrestleVotes reported:

“The latest ‘talent board’, which is used internally, saw an update post Payback on 9/3. Interesting news from the SmackDown side lists LA Knight as the top babyface. In addition, Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits are now categorized as heels.”

– Gunther defeated Chad Gable in the main event of this week’s RAW to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

The Ring General will now officially become the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time this Friday, by surpassing The Honky Tonk Man’s record-setting 454-day reign in the 80s.

This led to The Honky Tonk Man calling himself the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time after RAW.

Below is what he tweeted:

– After 31 successful defenses, Orange Cassidy lost the AEW International Championship to Jon Moxley in the main event of the AEW All Out 2023 pay-per-view in Chicago this past Sunday.

Cassidy’s last successful title defense was against Penta El Zero Miedo in the main event of last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

During the match, Cassidy and Penta did a spot in which they traded 3 Canadian Destroyers back-to-back.

In an interview with Rasslin, Cassidy revealed that he blacked out during the match because of that spot.

“I blacked out. I went to another place.”

When asked what place he went to, the former AEW International Champion replied:

“I don’t know.”
