Jim Cornette On Randy Orton Not Showing Much Interest In The Wrestling Business In The Beginning

During a recent appearance on Talk Is Jericho podcast, Jim Cornette talked about Randy Orton’s beginning in the wrestling business in OVW. Below is what he said:

“I don’t think originally he was into the business as much as he should have, but he had it in his genes. He is sitting in the announcer’s desk in the Davis Arena, and watching one of the classes. He didn’t know that the microphone on the desk was on because Danny Davis was recording on video the class that was going on in the ring.

He turned the microphone on and Randy said that he only here for the damn $750 a week. Danny loved that; he brought him in the next day in his office when he had all his equipment and he played what Randy had said, but he’s made more money since.”

WWE Star Comments On Rumor Of Her Becoming The Next General Manager Of SmackDown Live

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella commented on the rumor of her becoming the next General Manager of SmackDown Live.

Below is what she said:

“[Laughs] I’m not gonna lie, I totally pitched hard to do that. The company thought it was a great idea, but creatively at the time it wasn’t going to work out because I did sign on with Dancing With the Stars and no one knew yet, so it was going to be too short of a run.

But they were positive about it, so I’m hoping that door stays open. I would love to come back and be a bad guy. I feel like I’m where John stands — I’m better used as a good guy.

But can you imagine me coming back as a bad girl and having some fun with Shane McMahon? It would just be amazing. So we’ll see.”
