On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Natalya faced Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship and lost.

This match received great reviews from the fans and wrestlers as well, and it is being touted as one of the best matches of Natalya’s career.

While talking about this RAW match, Natalya mentioned facing Rhea for the Title at the Night of Champions 2023 premium live event in Saudi Arabia.

This event took place on May 27th, which was Natalya’s 41st birthday and she lost in just 70 seconds.

During an interview on Busted Open Radio, Natalya said she cried after this devastating loss:

“After Saudi Arabia, after Night of Champions, I went home and cried for days. I just felt like such a complete failure.

I thought this was maybe, you know, my last chance to have this moment, especially on a huge pay-per-view in a place that’s so important to me because Saudi is where myself and Lacey Evans made history as the first woman to ever compete there. So it was really special to me.

I honestly felt like the lowest I’ve ever felt in my career, and so I didn’t know if I’d ever get the chance to get that back and I did, and I never take it for granted.”

Natalya tweeted the following about making Rhea almost tap on this week’s RAW:

“Sometimes people forget, until I get the chance to remind them. I was made in The Dungeon. I can take anyone to their limit on any night, because that’s what top level competitors do. Now line up the rest and let me loose on them too.”

Natalya also said during this interview that her confidence in the ring is back.
