Sasha Banks walked out of WWE in May 2022 and then joined NJPW in 2023 as Mercedes Mone.
She even went on to win the IWGP Women’s Championship, but lost it soon. She also competed in Stardom.
During an interview with Gorilla Position, Bayley revealed that she begs Mercedes every day to return to WWE.
Below is what she said:
“I beg her every day. I beg her every… You know what, it doesn’t matter where it is, it doesn’t matter how it happens, I would love to one day step back into the ring with her.
Whether it’s teaming with her, whether it’s against her, but right now I just want whatever happiness she needs to feel, whatever she needs, accomplish her dreams, accomplish her goals, I’m just happy to see her happy.”
Sasha & Bayley were crowned the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in 2019.
Mercedes recently broke her ankle at NJPW Resurgence, where she faced AEW wrestler Willow Nightingale in a match to crown the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Mercedes was scheduled to win this match and become champion, but the finish was changed due to her injury.
