Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Corey Graves and John Cena.

• The feud between AEW World Champion MJF and the mysterious “Devil” character intensifies on AEW Dynamite.

On the November 29th episode, after MJF’s promo vowing to unmask The Devil, the lights went off, and masked figures attacked him, only to be thwarted by Samoa Joe. A video appearance of The Devil character occurred, but they didn’t appear in the arena.

WWE commentator Corey Graves joked about this storyline and speculated on Twitter if this scenario was reminiscent of the Retribution stable from WWE, which featured masked wrestlers during attacks and existed from August 2020 to March 2021 in the Pandemic Era.

• 14-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton returned from his major back injury at Survivor Series 2023.

On Monday’s RAW, Orton announced that he has unfinished business with The Bloodline. On Friday’s SmackDown, Orton officially signed with the blue brand and made it clear that he’s coming for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Orton’s longtime on-screen rival and friend John Cena tweeted the following about The Viper’s comeback:

“Absolutely incredible to see Randy Orton continue to excel after such a storied career. A massive pickup for SmackDown and a word to the wise… watch out for that RKO!”

Orton RKOed Jimmy Uso on SmackDown and delivered another RKO to General Manager Nick Aldis just for fun!
