The January 27th episode of RAW featured a World Tag Team Championship match featuring The War Raiders defending their titles against Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. However, the match took a concerning turn early on.
McDonagh attempted a springboard moonsault to the outside but hit the back of his head against the announce table. Michael Cole, on commentary, voiced immediate concern, urging for medical attention. Despite the mishap, McDonagh continued the match, which ended with Erik & Ivar retaining their titles.

Reports from those present at the event indicated that McDonagh collapsed backstage after the match. The Wrestling Observer later confirmed that McDonagh was taken to the hospital. However, it was revealed that his injuries were not related to his head or neck.
McDonagh later shared on X that he sustained broken ribs and a punctured lung during the match. He later issued the following statement on Instagram:
