Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving The Rock and FTR.
• The premiere of WWE RAW on Netflix will take place on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, with The Rock expected to appear.
During a segment on this week’s RAW, a WWE production truck featuring The Rock’s image was displayed as Adam Pearce promoted the Netflix debut. The Rock has not appeared on WWE TV since his surprise appearance at Bad Blood.
Pearce just announced Punk vs Seth for Raw on Netflix.
But peep the picture of The Rock on the truck behind him 👀👀

WrestleVotes noted that WWE often includes background hints to set up future storylines or returning stars, fueling speculation about The Rock’s involvement:
“If you watch RAW last night, Adam Pearce is backstage talking about making (Seth) Rollins and (CM) Punk for Netflix. The whole segment was about Netflix. Right over his shoulder is a semi-truck with a big picture of The Rock. They don’t do that type of thing by accident. They never do and they’re not going to start. And that’s what I’ll say about that.
There was a purpose for that, and as far as I know, he’s expected to be there, whether that says he’s working WrestleMania or not. That’s a different ball game. I do know on January 6, there are people within the WWE that expect The Rock to be there.”
WWE teased something similar before WrestleMania 40, when they showed Stone Cold Steve Austin & John Cena’s images on a production truck during a brawl between The Rock and Cody Rhodes. Austin and Cena were planned to be a part of the WrestleMania XL – Night 2 main event. However, Austin couldn’t commit and ended up being replaced by The Undertaker.

• Former AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) announced they will confront the Death Riders on the January 1, 2025 edition of Dynamite.
Currently recovering from injuries sustained during a December 14 attack on Collision, FTR confirmed they will be cleared to compete at the Fight For The Fallen special in their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina.
FTR teased they won’t face the Death Riders alone. Word going on is that former TNT Champion and Asheville native Adam Copeland aka Edge, out since May due to a fractured tibia, will make a surprise return on that night as FTR’s partner.
