Next week, AEW Dynamite will take place on Tuesday instead of Wednesday, and they’ll be going head-to-head against WWE NXT.
This special Tuesday episode of Dynamite will feature Edge’s first ever match in All Elite Wrestling and it will be against Luchasaurus.
AEW has loaded up this episode even more, as they plan on defeating NXT in the ratings, as a lot of fans will prefer to tune in to sign Edge’s first AEW match compared to watching NXT. Below is the card that AEW has announced for next week’s “Title Tuesday” episode:
– “Edge” Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus
– Chris Jericho vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
– Saraya (c) vs. Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship
– Rey Fenix (c) vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW International Championship
– Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland to crown the #1 Contender for the TNT Championship
– Jay White vs. ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champion “Hangman” Adam Page
WWE doesn’t plan on losing to AEW next week, as NXT has been doing very good in viewership as of late and they want the good ratings to continue, to prove that NXT is a legitimate third brand of WWE and not just a developmental show, in order to get a better TV deal.
This is why WWE has loaded up next week’s NXT with some huge names. Below is the card for next week’s show:
– Carmelo Hayes (with John Cena) vs. Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman)
– Cody Rhodes will deliver a major announcement
– Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez
NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and North American Champion Dominik Mysterio will also appear.
In an update on this situation, PWInsider is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker will be in Orlando, Florida next week, the site of NXT, and he will be backstage at the show on Tuesday.
In an update on this situation, WWE aired a promo for next week’s NXT on tonight’s SmackDown and that promo ended with The Undertaker’s iconic gong, thus teasing The Deadman’s return to WWE programming.
