As reigning NXT Champion Bobby Roode awaits his next contender, McIntyre — a former former Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Champion — has become the talk of the WWE Universe since his surprise appearance at TakeOver: Orlando. Within minutes of the sold-out Amway Center erupting in applause over McIntyre’s sighting, ESPN.com broke the news that the Scottish Superstar had officially signed with NXT.
Once ordained “The Chosen One” by none other than WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, McIntyre has spent the past three years away from WWE, dominating competition around the globe.
