– WWE is planning to do a special edition of WWE NXT TV in addition to the two planned premium live events that will air on Peacock.
NXT Battleground will take place on May 28. The main event will see Carmelo Hayes defend the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker.
Additionally, WWE is planning to do a PLE for the developmental brand on August 12, and a special television episode of the Tuesday night show on the USA Network with The Great American Bash theme.
In 2020, WWE brought the old WCW pay-per-view theme back for NXT and has done yearly television specials since then.
In 2021, the show was headlined by Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly, and last year, Bron Breakker vs. Cameron Grimes for the NXT Championship served as the main event.
