– Old School WWF Wrestler Celebrates His Birthday
Former World Wrestling Federation Superstar Damien Demento turns 59 today.
Most of you Old Schoolers will remember him from being an entrant in the 1993 Royal Rumble match, as well as main eventing the very first episode of Monday Night RAW, a match he lost to The Undertaker. Damien Demento was with the WWF for only a year, from October 1992 until October 1993.
Happy Birthday!!
– Old School WCW Wrestler Celebrates His Birthday
Former World Championship Wrestling talent Bobby Blaze turns 54 today.
Those of you, who watched Jim Cornette’s SMW Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion during the 90s, most likely remember Bobby Blaze being a part of their full time roster, but after leaving the territory in 1995, he also had a career in WCW, where he wrestled from 1997 until 1999.
He wrestled on 2 PPVs, World War III 1997 & World War III 1998, both times as an entry in the 60 man battle royal.
The man was actually quite talented, so it’s a shame he never made it further in his professional wrestling career.
Happy Birthday Bobby Blaze!
– Rumor Killer Regarding John Cena’s 17th WWE World Title Win
As we noted above in this article, current plans are for John Cena to face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2017. There’s a lot of speculation going on that Cena is going to be the babyface that ends Jinder’s heel Title run at SummerSlam 2017.
However, that’s not going to be the case. Current plans are for WWE to do a Live Event in India sometime in September and Jinder is scheduled to headline that event as the WWE Champion and officials won’t take the Title off him at least before that event in India happens.
