12. More On Mauro Ranallo’s Return To WWE, Brock Lesnar Added To A SmackDown Live Event
– More On Mauro Ranallo’s Return To WWE
As we noted before, former SmackDown Live commentator Mauro Ranallo is back with WWE (he stopped working on WWE programming earlier this year due to depression and bullying issues) and worked the latest set of NXT TV tapings. Not only is he a commentator in NXT now, but he’s also working for Bellator MMA & Showtime Boxing as a play-by-play announcer. He’ll also be calling the upcoming boxing match between Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor in August. Below is what Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had to say about Mauro’s return to WWE:
“He’s on a show that most of the people that run WWE production don’t go to. So that’s kind of the key right there. So he’s in a different world, working the Orlando shows and the TakeOvers and not the high pressure shows, so to speak. And it’s a lot of tapings during the middle of the week.”
Speaking of Mauro, he worked last night’s Bellator NYC/180 PPV and you can listen to him going crazy after Fedor’s fight below:

It should be noted that this is a SmackDown Live Event, but a lot of Raw Superstars are being advertised for this show.
