WWE Veterans Seen As Stale, WWE Bringing In Legends To Increase Ratings

Big Show as WWE Champion

There has been a lot of talks backstage in WWE on how they are bringing back Legends to draw good TV ratings, as the modern day era wrestlers aren’t able to draw good ratings.

At the same time, there have been a lot of questions on why great talents like Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Bray Wyatt are being held back in the mid-card/upper mid-card.

Established stars and veterans like Big Show, Randy Orton & Sheamus are being seen as stale and fans have no interest in them. Fans have been chanting “please retire” at Big Show during WWE Live Events, Orton hasn’t been involved in any significant feud for a few months now, while the fans find Sheamus boring. A lot of people are losing interest in the current product, which is one of the reasons behind low WWE TV ratings. Vince McMahon is “freaking out” because of this.

Vince usually does something big during such times and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer is speculating that Sheamus can cash-in his Money in the Bank contract anytime soon as a result of Vince McMahon freaking out. We reported earlier that Sheamus is in line for a huge push in 2016 and is expected to win the WWE World Title.
