Triple H brought Karrion Kross and his real-life wife & on-screen valet Scarlett back to WWE last year.
Kross returned on the post-SummerSlam 2022 episode of SmackDown during a segment between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.
He attacked McIntyre and Scarlett then signaled that Kross is coming for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
However, Kross hasn’t done much since his feud with McIntyre ended, where both men won one PPV match against each other.
AJ Styles recently defeated him in less than 2 minutes on SmackDown.
Former WWF Manager Jim Cornette said the following about Kross on his podcast:
“Here’s my comment. After the entrance, Kross is f***ing done. Remember when he was interesting and it goes down to the hair I think, I don’t know why.
But at one point he was interesting and seemed like something and now he looks good physically, he does sh*t. It’s just it doesn’t [connect], it’s boring, what’s missing, what’s happening here?
Is it that people have heard those promos that he’s just monotone, droning on, it doesn’t connect because it’s so phony? Is it the hair that made him look not intimidating?”
According to The Wrestling Blog, WWE wants to revamp Kross’ character:
“A idea was pitched for Karrion Kross. There’s a good amount of people at WWE that feel that Karrion needs a revamp, they want to make Karrion look like the Karrion Kross from the NXT era.”
Karrion Kross is a former 2-time NXT Champion and spend a year in IMPACT Wrestling prior to that.
