• WWE Wants To Sign Kenny Omega
The AEW contract of Kenny Omega is set to expire soon and WWE has their sights set on the current Trios Champion.
According to Fightful Select, WWE Officials believe that signing Omega is a real possibility for them:
“There is chatter emanating from WWE of late, with several in the company believing they have a chance to land Kenny Omega.
Despite the AEW/WWE rivalry, we’re told that Omega had a positive relationship with WWE, and especially Triple H when discussing the potential of heading to the company in late 2018. Ultimately Kenny chose to go to AEW.
Though there have been heavy AEW accusations regarding contract tampering, WWE sources told Fightful they don’t believe that was the case with Omega specifically.”
Many believe that WWE booking Cody Rhodes as a major superstar and putting him in the main event of WrestleMania is going to attract more wrestlers from AEW.
Just like Cody was, Omega is also an Executive Vice President in All Elite Wrestling.
