• WWE/WCW/ECW/TNA Veteran Accepts Brock Lesnar’s Open Challenge For WrestleMania 42
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman appeared together on this week’s RAW. Heyman said WrestleMania used to have two main event matches: the world title match and The Undertaker’s match. After Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s undefeated Streak in 2014, that main event spot became Brock’s spot.
Heyman and Lesnar issued an open challenge for WrestleMania 42. The Beast will make 5 more TV appearances before WrestleMania and anyone can step up to the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Former WWE/WCW/ECW/TNA wrestler Big Vito LoGrasso (age 61) accepted Lesnar’s challenge for WrestleMania 42 and tweeted the following:
“Here it goes. Open Challenge? Representing the Luciano Family and all of @jcwlunacy I Challenge @BrockLesnar with his Advocate @HeymanHustle at Wrestlemania. @WWE you listening. You think your the Best Heel in this Business, Think again. Open the door Brock.”
It’s safe to say that Brock Lesnar vs. Big Vito isn’t going to happen.
WrestleMania 42 will mark Lesnar’s return to WrestleMania after 3 years. His last WrestleMania was WrestleMania 39 in 2023. Below is Brock Lesnar’s RAW schedule on the Road to WrestleMania 42:
March 16 – San Antonio
March 23 – Boston
March 30 – New York City
April 6 – Houston
April 13 – Sacramento

• AJ Styles Retired Due To Ongoing Health Issues (Details)
AJ Styles’ decision to step away from in-ring competition ultimately came down to one issue: his neck. After his final match against Gunther at the Royal Rumble, questions swirled about whether the retirement was permanent. According to Karl Anderson, the situation became clear once he spoke directly with Styles backstage.
Anderson revealed on his Talk’n Shop podcast that Styles told him the pain in his neck had become too severe to continue wrestling. He described Styles as worn down physically and aware that his body could no longer handle the demands of performing at a high level.
The neck problems were serious enough that Styles felt he had no real alternative but to retire. Rather than pushing through further damage, he chose to step away and focus on helping the next generation of wrestlers.
While speculation had suggested Styles might continue elsewhere, Anderson admitted that the conversation removed any doubt. The ongoing neck pain, combined with overall wear and tear, made the decision final.
