Below are some top news stories of the day, featuring TNA, Becky Lynch, and WWE RAW.
• WWE Will Sign Top TNA Star Soon
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry is getting strong internal support in WWE and is likely to sign with the company once his current TNA contract ends, according to PWInsider.
The report states that Hendry’s move to WWE is “pretty much considered a lock” once he’s free of his TNA commitments.
Hendry impressed many within WWE after stepping in on short notice to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
He has also received praise for his in-ring work, professionalism, and creative input. Influential people in WWE are said to hold him in high regard.
• Becky Lynch Reveals Original Plan For Her Return
During an interview with Variety, Becky Lynch revealed that she was originally scheduled to take just 3 months off in 2024. However, her outside projects took up more time.
She was then scheduled to make her return at Royal Rumble 2025, but that plan got canceled due to skin issues.
The former Women’s Champion then ended up returning at the biggest show of the year:
“I took what I thought was going to be three months off during the summer when my contract ended. It seemed like a good time to take a little break and get some stuff done.
I ended up filming Star Trek and Happy Gilmore. There was talk of coming back around the Royal Rumble, but I developed a skin condition at the last minute.
Then with WrestleMania as the next big event, it made sense — especially if I could take Bayley out and ruin her dreams. It felt doubly brilliant.”
