5. Impact Wresting Viewership Down, Possible Cruiserweight Championship Match For WrestleMania 33
Last week’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, which featured TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Eddie Edwards in the main event, drew 252,000 viewers.
This is down from previous week’s 299,000 viewers (which was the Open Fight Night episode).
WWE is planning to do a Cruiserweight Title match between Neville & Austin Aries at WrestleMania 33. Aries’ orbital bone injury has healed and he has been cleared to compete now.
After missing last year’s WrestleMania due to injury, below is what Cruiserweight Champion Neville had to say about competing at WrestleMania 33:
“Well, I’m finally where I deserve to be and where I should always have been: on a platform to showcase my abilities. I’m not sitting back and watching it unfold. I am right on the forefront. I am proud of what I’ve done. I’m not at all regretful for how I’ve behaved and I will continue to do what is best for me, my family, and what has my best interests in mind.”
