• WWE Wrestler Could Be Out Of Action For Up To A Year

Prior to his injury, WWE NXT Superstar Ridge Holland had been working in TNA as part of the crossover deal between NXT and TNA. He had a deal with Trick Williams, who gave him a chance to earn a TNA World Championship Match by taking Mike Santana out of contention. But, Holland lost to Santana at Victory Road.

During last Saturday’s TNA taping in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Holland faced Moose. However, the match had to be stopped midway after he got hurt due to a bad landing. He was unable to put weight on the injured leg and had to be helped backstage. Moose and an official were seen assisting him to the back.

The 37-year-old took to X today to reveal that he suffered a Lisfranc injury and is set to undergo surgery later this week.

“Lisfranc Injury…Surgery Friday.

See ya in abit”

The injury could keep the former NXT Tag Team Champion out of action for several months, or even up to a year. The recovery time is usually longer in surgical cases.

Moose vs. Ridge Holland was taped for the October 12 episode of TNA iMPACT!

• “She didn’t learn a lot in AEW” – WWE Personality Slams Jade Cargill’s Wrestling Skills After SmackDown Botch

Last week’s episode of SmackDown featured Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax in a Triple-Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Championship in the main event.

The match did not go down as planned as it featured a few botches. At one point, Nia Jax drove Jade Cargill into the steel steps, which left the former AEW star bloody. Later in the bout, the referee stopped her count, despite The Irresistible Force not kicking out when Stratton pinned her.

During his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT commentator Booker T said there was a lot of miscommunication during the match, which is not acceptable.

“That can’t happen on live television. It wasn’t a good night at all. You could tell there was a lot of miscommunication. You’ve got an NIL talent, Tiffany Stratton.

You’ve got Jade Cargill who’s pretty much fresh off her AEW run, and just think about that time in AEW for her, she probably didn’t learn a whole lot, because – no disrespect or anything – but she was just put on a wing and she never really got a chance to really wrestle anybody.

And then you’ve got Nia Jax, who’s been there, of course is gonna feel like, ‘I need to quarterback this thing, I feel like I know more than these girls.’

It could have been a plethora of things, but you could tell there was a lot of miscommunication. One thing about matches like that – the only thing they’re gonna remember is the finish. You’ve gotta get everybody to that point to where that finish can happen and it goes off without a hitch. And that didn’t happen, that didn’t happen in this match.

Was it a botch? Heck yeah it was a botch. Was it a miscommunication? Was it a screw up? Whatever term you wanna put on it – yes it was. But one thing I do feel about that kind of stuff – that can’t happen on live television.

If I went to go and see Hamilton, and they were going home, and the guy slipped on his butt and he forgot his lines, I think I would be pretty upset about that too.

They went out there and it wasn’t a good night. It wasn’t a good night at all.”

Nia Jax has been highly criticized for the match by fans online, but Jade Cargill’s recent activity on X indicates that the botched pinfall may be Tiffany Stratton’s mistake (which we covered in our previous article).
