WWE’s internal reaction to the newly released Vince McMahon Netflix documentary has been cautious.
The docuseries dives deep into McMahon’s controversial career, addressing issues like Sable’s s*xual harassment case and past assault allegations.
It also touches on McMahon’s unique claim that his mind operates like several “computers” running simultaneously.
According to WrestleVotes during a recent Q&A, while many within WWE have watched the documentary, there’s an unspoken rule to keep opinions private at work.
The backstage sentiment suggests that discussing the documentary among friends is fine, but employees are advised to keep their views to themselves when at work.
“I’m sure everybody watched it and everybody has those opinions, but in situations like this, maybe best to keep these opinions to yourself.
You know you can talk amongst friends, but whatever opinion you have, keep those to yourself about this documentary.”
A former WWE writer also alleged that McMahon may have incriminated himself in the documentary and claimed that hours of footage were cut from the final product.
Despite this, the documentary has generated significant conversation and surpassed expectations.
