This move is going to result in a massive viewership boost for WWE programming on Netflix, as India has WWE’s largest fanbase in terms of audience size.
A WWE Official said the following about the Indian wrestling market back in 2017:
“India is one of our top international markets. In terms of audience size, it is our largest. Something like 89 million Indians watched WrestleMania 33, 50 million Indians watch RAW and SmackDown every week. Sunday Dhamaal has 25 million tuning in. And those are numbers greater than any other international markets we have.”

• Rey Fenix’s WWE debut is expected shortly after WWE’s European tour ends on March 31, though no exact date is set. Fenix recently secured his AEW release.
WWE is already preparing merchandise for him, and he is set to complete the company’s medical process soon.
AEW had the option to extend his contract but granted his release, reportedly under a non-disparagement agreement after Fenix made vague allegations about inhumane treatment.
