• WWE’s New Plan For Draft 2025
At first, there were reports about the 2025 WWE Draft taking place in May, but it looks like that’s no longer the plan.
According to WrestleVotes, this year’s Draft is currently scheduled to take place before SummerSlam 2025.
This year’s SummerSlam will be the first ever SummerSlam to be a two-night event. It will take place on August 2 & 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
• CM Punk Removed From Night Of Champions Promo, Replacement Revealed
During the Backlash premium live event, WWE announced that the Night of Champions 2025 PLE will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28.
CM Punk was shown in the promo for this PLE, thus indicating that he might appear on the show.
However, Punk has now been removed from this video package. Riyadh Season’s X account posted the same promo video today, with the only change being that Punk was replaced by Seth Rollins.

Back in 2020, Punk said the following to The Miz on Twitter:
“Go suck a blood money covered d*ck in Saudi Arabia you f**king dork.”
On social media, fans called Punk a ‘sellout’ and a ‘hypocrite’ after he appeared in the promo for Night of Champions. It’s possible that WWE changed plans for Punk to appear at this event after the social media backlash.
During a Live Q&A session on Instagram, a fan asked Punk why he hates going to Saudi Arabia. Punk replied:
“I’ve never been to Saudi, I don’t hate coming to Saudi.”
It should be noted that Night of Champions is going to be the only Saudi Arabia PLE for 2025, instead of the usual two. That’s because WWE will host 3 PLEs in Saudi next year, including Royal Rumble 2026.
Crown Jewel 2025 will take place in Perth, Australia on October 11.
