Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day:

– WWE has merged with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings, after being acquired by Endeavor.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE’s goal now is to have cities pay them to bring their premium live events to their stadiums/arenas:

“We’ll be seeing a lot more of WWE trying to get cities to bid for at least the big shows. The goal is for all 12 pay-per-view shows.

Right now, I think the goal is 4 or 5 for next year, and maybe more as time goes on and as UFC is doing as well. They just went to Sydney. It was a 16 million dollar deal to get 3 shows.”

– Matt Riddle didn’t appear on this week’s RAW after the alleged sexual assault incident at the JFK Airport.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Riddle didn’t appear on RAW because of a health issue:

“He was not on the show this week, but that’s because he had a double ear infection and bronchitis. It was not punishment as far as I know. He may have been punished also, but as far as I know, it’s an illness.”

Riddle has also been pulled from this weekend’s Live Events in Idaho and Washington, where he was booked to appear.

In an update from PWInsider, Riddle is set to return on next week’s RAW.
