• WWF Legend’s Send-Off Moment Got Cancelled In 2018

With today being the final day of 2018, let’s take a look back at a major plan that got cancelled this year:

According to The Dirty Sheets, Kane was scheduled to face Braun Strowman in a Casket Match at WrestleMania 34. However, the plan got changed when WWE officials decided that Braun Strowman challenging and then defeating The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) to win the RAW Tag Team Titles single-handedly would be a better WrestleMania moment.

This resulted in Kane’s planned send-off moment at WrestleMania 34 getting cancelled as he was scheduled to lose the Casket Match to Strowman and put over a big new star on his way out.

WWE was planning a send-off moment because they were under the impression that Kane might not return to WWE as an active in-ring performer if he wins the Knox County election in May and becomes the Mayor.

As it turns out, Kane ended up becoming the Mayor and returned for a match at WWE Crown Jewel PPV as well!
