On this day in Pro Wrestling history on September 10, 1994, Otto Wanz’s Catch Wrestling Association held an event at the “Festzelt on the Schützenplatz” in Hannover, Germany.

The card also featured several wrestlers, who came from or would eventually end up in either World Championship Wrestling or the World Wrestling Federation.

• WWF Legend Released From WWE

Former WWF Tag Team Champion and WWE Road Agent Mike Rotunda (father of Bray Wyatt & Bo Dallas) has been released by WWE. Rotunda had been working as a Road Agent for WWE since 2006.

Back in April, during the first round of budget cuts due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Rotunda was furloughed by the company. PWInsider is now reporting that Rotunda wasn’t brought back and got released instead.

Another long-time WWE employee, Anthony Benigno, who was a writer on WWE’s website for 9 years was let go by the company today.

He announced his release in the following Twitter thread:

“SOME PERSONAL NEWS: Today was my last day at WWE. Way too many memories and thank yous for almost 9 years, suffice it to say it’s about the most challenging, rewarding place I could have imagined starting my career with the best people I could have hoped to meet along the way.

It has been a hell of a ride. Thank you to all the employees and Superstars who made it a dream come true. If you’re looking for an experienced writer/editor/producer/Mario Kart champion, DMs are OPEN!”
