WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Legend Batista, who is best known in Hollywood for his role as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, has been praised by WWF Legend Chris Jericho for his versatility and commitment to acting.
After facing financial struggles due to tax issues, Batista’s portrayal of Drax eventually led to other prominent roles in Blade Runner 2049 and Dune.
During a recent ‘First We Feast’ interview, Jericho ranked Batista, The Rock, John Cena and Hulk Hogan by their acting skills, and ended up ranking Batista over the other 3 actors.
Here’s what Y2J had to say:
“I would say the best actor of all of them is Bautista. I think his work and his diversity, from what I’ve seen, I think he’s the best actual actor. And then I’ll put Dwayne Johnson, Cena and Hulk Hogan after that. Although, ‘Santa With Muscles?’ Chef’s kiss.”
Batista wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from May 2002 to May 2010 and again from January 2014 to June ’14 and one last time in 2019, when he wrestled his final professional wrestling match against his real-life friend Triple H at WrestleMania 35.
During his time in WWE, Batista won several titles, including the WWE Championship (2x), the World Heavyweight Championship (4x), the World Tag Team Championship (3x) and the WWE Tag Team Championship (1x).
He’s also a 2-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 & 2014) and will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame within the next few years (after the first attempt failed due to his busy Hollywood schedule).
