On this day in 1998, we lost Old School WWF Wrestler Battle Kat aka Brady Boone (Real name: Dean R. Peters) in a car accident at the young age of 40.

He did jobs on WWF TV for a few years before adapting the gimmick of ‘Battle Kat’, a character based on Battle Cat from the ‘Master of the Universe’ franchise.

When Brady was released from the World Wrestling Federation in November 1990, WWF enhancement talent Bob Bradley took over under the Battle Kat costume.

• ON THIS DAY IN WWF HISTORY (December 15, 1990) – WWF Superstars of Wrestling *The Undertaker’s First WWF Singles Match*

On this day in 1990, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.

This episode was pre-taped at the War Memorial in Rochester, New York and included matches, promos & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1991’ PPV.

The show featured The Undertaker’s first ever singles match in the World Wrestling Federation, where he was still announced as “Kane The Undertaker”, because the event was taped before the Survivor Series pay-per-view, where Ted DiBiase announced him as just “The Undertaker”, which turned out to be the name they eventually went with.
